Located in our San Francisco and New York offices, the macys.com Marketing teams are responsible for the strategy, analytics and execution of macys.com marketing campaigns and promotions.

Our marketing strategy team in New York works hand in hand with the Macy’s, Inc. marketing division to maximize the impact of corporate campaigns and maintain the integrity of the Macy’s brand; the team also partners with the merchants and creative teams to drive sales through web and email campaigns. The execution arm of marketing is located in San Francisco to maximize their interaction with the technology and site merchandising teams. What we do in the Marketing organization

Marketing Strategy: Marketing Strategy teams are aligned by Merchant categories and are responsible for developing the marketing strategy for their family of business based on data provided by the marketing analytics team. These strategies include social media, rich media and interactive media.

Marketing Analytics: The Marketing Analytics group includes a highly advanced team of marketing analysts that evaluates available data to fully understand the macys.com customer. Here you’ll find marketing analysts who focus on customer segmentation, predictive analytics, site analytics, and experimentation analytics.

Marketing Systems: The Marketing Systems team is responsible for technical solutions used by the analytics and interactive teams.

Interactive Marketing: The macys.com Interactive Marketing team is responsible for the management of online and interactive tactical marketing for Macy’s Inc. The team leverages various tactics to drive traffic, conversion, and retention across email, search (SEO & SEM), affiliate, mobile, social media, website, and display.

Buying: our buying teams develop and implement seasonal merchandise plans and assortment strategies to maximize sales and profitability. Design: our design teams concept and create weekly refreshes, category pages, home pages, banners, promotions and sitelets to freshen the look and feel of the brand and all of the areas we supply. The interactive designers develop and design all the bells and whistles, from rich media content to games to video. Interactive and web designers and Flash development are among the roles on the macys.com design team.

Copy: Macys.com copy teams give a voice to our brand and the products we offer. They produce the communication on our home page, product pages, email campaigns, and other online features.

Photography: our photography team brings all imagery you see on the site to fruition. Art directors, photographers, producers, stylists, retouchers and more partner with the other creative teams to create smoothly operating photo shoots and pixel-perfect photos.

Creative Services: our creative services team serves as a main point of contact for buyers, vendors, marketing and other creative teams, communicating workflow and production schedule needs between cross-functional teams.
